Faculty and students from the Department of Japanese Painting held an exhibition at LA Artcore Brewery Annex in Los Angeles, and conducted a demonstration on the traditional method of Japanese Painting using mineral pigments made from soil collected in Los Angeles. This project aimed to provide students with firsthand experience in organizing an exhibition and promoting Japanese Painting worldwide.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Musashino Art\u3000University\u3000and\u3000Royal\u3000University\u3000of\u3000Fine\u3000Arts\u3000(Sweden)\u3000organized two\u3000workshops, one in Tokyo and one in Stockholm, focusing on the topic, “What is the material for artists?”. Students participated in reciprocal workshops and held group exhibitions. This project aimed to provide students with the opportunity to learn various approaches to material.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

International Sculpture Workshop<\/h3>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Joint Sculpture Workshop with the University of the Arts (Germany) and the Athens Academy of Fine Arts (Greek)<\/p>\r\n

Three universities, one each from Germany, Greece, and Japan, conducted a joint sculpture workshop in Berlin. The workshop consisted of two sessions; one using the pre-set material of stone, and another using material from nature and making spontaneous sculpture. This project gave students the opportunity to work intensively with artists from different cultural backgrounds.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
