武蔵野美術大学大学大学院 造形研究科デザイン専攻工芸工業デザインコース修了（修士）

研究テーマ

モビリティーデザインの過去から未来の研究。環境／エネルギー／生活の変化・モノづくり技術の変化を捕え、これからのモビリティーの「姿」を考える。

'80年トヨタ自動車（株）入社、
'88-89年アートセンター、ヨーロッパ校企業留学、'92-95年トヨタモータマーケティング＆エンジニアリングS.A. ヨーロッパデザインスタディオ「EPOC」勤務、'95-'09年トヨタ自動車（株）デザイン本部勤務。
外形デザインを中心に、セリカやモーターショーカーなどのデザイン開発を行い、近年では、チーフデザナーとしてRAV4、アリオン、アベンシスなどの生産車両の全体デザインを担当。
また、カラーデザイン、NAVIなどの開発マネージメントや、2005年よりデザイン組織、開発プロセスなどの分野全体マネージメントに携わる。
'05-'09年07年「全国高等学校デザイン選手権大会」審査委員、'10年「トヨタUD学生ワークショップ」参加、'11-'12年「東海理化　産学協同プロジェクト」参加。

My research focuses on the past and future of mobility design. With a number of technological innovations underway, mobility design is in the midst of a period of enormous change. By focusing on two aspects—the universality of the body and the diversification of objectives—I consider what form of mobility the world of tomorrow will need. Even though the nature of transportation has evolved greatly over time, I believe the fundamentals of what people look for in transportation have remained, and will remain, largely unchanged. Nevertheless, in order to create the breakthroughs that people look forward to in the future, I believe it is important to consider and propose appealing new forms of mobility that go beyond merely extending what has come before.
