1220：可変するナラティブ、浮遊する場所 / Shifting Narratives, Floating Places（art based research成果展）
「1220」は、リサーチに根ざしたアート実践を軸に、写真・映像・録音など、時間性を内包するメディアを通して、人間の感覚と空間が交錯する瞬間を記録し、具現化することを試みてきたアーティストユニットである。

本展示「可変するナラティブ、浮遊する場所」では、ある特定の「場所」を固定的・物理的に捉えるのではなく、関わる人びとの視線や記憶、行為によって織りなされる語り（ナラティブ）の揺らぎと、それによって立ち現れる「場」の流動性に注目する。場所は、そこにいること（being-there）や、語ること、撮ること、記録することを通して、常に書き換えられ、再構成される。

展示では、フィールドワークやワークショップを通じて収集された視覚・音声資料が、複数の視点を交差させながら「浮遊する場所」の生成を試みる。観察する者、関与する者、記録する者としての立場を往還しながら、変化し続ける場所ー人の関係、そこに生まれるナラティブがいかに存在するのか ── その問いを、ここで共有したい。

1220: Shifting Narratives, Floating Places 1220 is an artist unit engaged in research-based art practice. Through time-based media such as photography, video, and audio recordings, the group explores and materializes moments where human perception and space intersect.

This exhibition, Shifting Narratives, Floating Places, does not attempt to define a specific “place” as fixed or physical. Instead, it focuses on the fluctuations of narratives woven through the gazes, memories, and actions of people involved—and on the fluidity of the “place” that emerges from them. A place is constantly rewritten and reconfigured through the acts of being there, telling, capturing, and recording.

Through visual and audio data collected via fieldwork and workshops, the exhibition experiments with the idea of “floating places” by intersecting multiple perspectives. In between the roles of observer, participant, and recorder, we welcome everyone to explore with us how the relationship between people and place evolves—and how new narratives emerge from that.
