日本大学大学院 理工学研究科 建築学専攻修士課程修了（修士）

研究テーマ

建築と構造の融合。

'95年東北工業大学工学部建築学科卒業後、日本大学大学院理工学研究科建築学専攻において空間構造の研究に従事。'97年大学院修了後、佐々木睦朗構造計画研究所にて構造設計実務を経て、'02年小西泰孝建築構造設計設立。
建築を主とし、工作物、橋梁、什器、インスタレーションなどを含んだ、様々な規模・用途に対する構造コンサルタントを手掛ける。
'08年日本構造デザイン賞、'13年JSCA賞奨励賞受賞。

〈Seeking “structures” to make architecture more beautiful and more prosperous〉
In Japan, the buildings face severe forces of natural disasters, such as earthquake, windstorm and heavy snowfall. Needless to say, it’s the most important mission for “structures” to confront such natural forces, giving buildings qualities as a perfect safeguard of human life and property.
However, that is not only thing “structures” can provide. “Structures” has a power not only as a defense against forces of natural disasters but also as an enhancer of efficiency and design in architecture and environments. There is no architecture without “structures”. Anything with a form has always “structures”.
We aim to contribute to our society by merging architecture with “structures” at high levels, to make architecture more beautiful, more prosperous and safer.
