空間の中で人間に一番近い美術表現と多角的な視点から見た衣裳の研究

鈴木清順監督、映画『ピストルオペラ』などの映画や資生堂CM、広告の衣裳デザインに携わり舞台の仕事を始める。国内外のオペラ作品の衣裳、テキスタイル、ヘア・メイクのデザインなどフランス、オーストリア、アメリカ、カナダなどにもその活動。OPERA「TEA: A Mirror of Soul」作曲：タン・ドゥン、演出：宮本亞門、アメリカ（サンタフェオペラ）、カナダ（バンクーバーオペラ）や、「Lady Sarashina」作曲：ペーテル・エトヴェシュ、演出：天児牛大、セットデザイン：中西夏之、フランス（リヨン国立歌劇場）でフランス批評家協会最優秀作品賞受賞、オペラコミック座、ポーランド国立歌劇場での公演が行われている。作品の一部は神戸ファッション美術館が所蔵している。第16回　読売演劇大賞優秀スタッフ賞受賞
演劇では、演出：白井晃「マーキュリー・ファー」「ジャンヌダルク」、演出：倉持裕「お勢登場」「お勢断行」、劇団四季「バケモノの子」などを手掛けている。

My specialty is costume design. I study artistic expression in costuming and the new costuming expression of today. I have been involved with costuming for movies, television commercials, and advertisements, and also handled the design of costumes for the stage. My work designing costumes and makeup for operatic and theatrical works has extended from Japan to countries overseas including France, Australia, the United States, and Canada. Major operas on which I have worked include Tan Dun’s Tea: A Mirror of Soul at the Santa Fe Opera and Peter Eötvös’s Lady Sarashina at the Opera National de Lyon.
